Abstract
Some children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) show behavioral improvements when experiencing inflammation accompanied by fever; however, little is known about the mechanisms that underlie these beneficial effects. In a recent issue of Nature, Reed and colleagues demonstrate that the production of interleukin-17 (IL-17) during inflammation promotes social behavior in mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders.Entities:
