Life-threatening swelling after mandibular vestibuloplasty.

This case report illustrates the potential for severe hemorrhage which authors have alluded to in articles on the vestibuloplasty procedure. The surgeon must be prepared to deal not only with the hemorrhage, but also with the sudden and possible life-threatening swelling that may accompany the bleeding.
