Abstract
Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are an integral component of the tumor microenvironment and have both tumor-promoting and tumor-suppressive functions. This SnapShot summarizes the origins of CAFs, their diverse functions, and how this relates to heterogeneity within the population.
