Abstract
BACKGROUND: High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) oxygen therapy is widely applied in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) patients with acute respiratory failure (ARF); however, its advantages over mechanical ventilation (MV) remain unclear.
