Abstract

We have developed a new procedure for unidirectional DNA deletion with Bal 31 nuclease. This method is based on the use of chimeric adaptors containing double strands of 2'-O-methyl RNA to block against an attack of Bal 31 nuclease. This contributes a wide application to learn the relation of structure-function of genes.
