[The COVID-19 pandemic and otolaryngology: What it comes down to?]

Abstract

Here, we review the most recent findings on the effects COVID-19 pandemic for the work of otolaryngologists. The role of anosmia and hyposmia as a potential COVID-19 related symptom is presented. We discuss the clinical management of all ENT patients, but especially of COVID-19 patients from the ENT perspective. The impact of the infection on the ENT examination and ENT surgery is summarized. © Georg Thieme Verlag KG Stuttgart · New York.
