Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis and one of the leading causes of job loss and motor disabilities. Recently, the involvement of dopaminergic pathways and dopamine receptor genes has been considered in this disease. Therefore, studying and comparing the expression pattern of these receptor genes can lead to a greater understanding of the pathogenesis of this disease.Entities:

Figure 2The network of the genes which linked directly with dopaminergic receptors genes in OA disease. The borders’ thicknesses of circles nodes indicate absolute LogFc.
Figure 3The expression of the 6 most interested genes in OA disease (GSK3B, GNAQ, ATF4, GNG11, CREB1 and GNG8) which are in the network with significant relationship to Dopamine receptors.
Figure 4Gene expression analysis of DRDs in OA patients in comparison to healthy controls. DRD1 and DRD5 receptor genes expression in the patient group were lower than those in the healthy controls; whiles DRD2, DRD3 and DRD4 receptor genes expression were higher.
