Abstract

Thrombocytopenia is a common laboratory finding in dengue infection. However, it usually resolves as the patient recovers from the infection. Persistent thrombocytopenia following dengue infection requires further investigation. Here, we present a case of immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) following dengue infection complicated by intracranial bleeding. © Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia.
