Managing choledocholithiasis in pregnancy: a novel approach.

Stacey Louise Chamberlain1, Daniel Croagh2.

Abstract

The management of choledocholithiasis in pregnancy can present a challenge due to radiation risk to the fetus and the possibility of severe maternal pancreatitis. We describe a case in which both these risks were avoided using a trans-cystic stent placed under endoscopic guidance during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. © BMJ Publishing Group Limited 2020.
