Pleomorphic Adenoma of Tongue: A Case Report.

Mandira Sarma1, Soumick Ranjan Sahoo1.

Abstract

Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) of minor salivary glands accounts for less than 3% of all head and neck tumors. It is a benign tumor. Palate is the most common site followed by upper lips. Tongue is an unusual site. We present a case report of a 35-year-old male patient who presented with a mass in the ventral surface of the tongue that was diagnosed as PA on FNAC and was treated by surgical excision. Patient was followed up and no recurrence was noted. © Association of Otolaryngologists of India 2019.
