Abstract
BACKGROUND: Withania somnifera (L.) (family-Solanaceae), known as 'Indian ginseng' or 'Ashwagandha' is acclaimed as an effective adaptogen, immunomodulator, aphrodisiac and sedative. Ashwagandhaghrita is a recognized ghee based Ayurvedic formulation. Few ancient texts suggest murcchana process for preparation of Ashwagandha ghrita.Entities:
