[Quantitative and qualitative inventory of scientific research in pediatrics at the Dutch universities (1981-1985)].

A survey was made of the contribution to the scientific research of the different pediatric departments at the universities in The Netherlands. The evaluation was based on quantitative and qualitative output of scientific papers over the period 1981-1985. It was possible to indicate the better research-groups at the universities. This information should form a solid base for future research policy with respect to pediatrics in The Netherlands.
