Figure 2Epidermal hyperplasia with a bandlike dense subepidermal infiltrate (a and b). Dermal papilla are filled with large, moderately pleomorphic cells with bean-shaped nuclei and epitheloid cytoplasm (c). Such cells also are scattered in the epidermis and for small clusters (d). Lymphocytes, neutrophils, and eosinophils are admixed in the infiltrate. (H and E stain, a × 40, b × 200 and c and d × 400). Large, pleomorphic cells express Langerin stain (e and f × 400)
