Abstract
An acquired posterior tracheal wall defect, most commonly an acquired tracheoesophageal fistula, is a challenging clinical scenario. Autologous pedicled pericardial patch repair is a versatile and sustainable technique for the repair of a large tracheal defect, from primary management to airway salvage.
