Abstract
Reasons are given for preferring the term "hand-ability" to "hand-preference", especially in animals, for discussions of HS. Different kinds of HS are described for man and for the monkey, with emphasis on the importance of the precise task to be performed for the determination of HS ("act-specific HS"). Exceptional kinds of HS in the monkey are reported.Entities:
