Abstract
Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH), otherwise known as Masson's tumor, is a benign lesion of the skin with no known malignant transformations reported. It is considered a non-neoplastic lesion, as it is reactive to some vascular insult, usually a thrombus in a vein leading to vascular endothelial cell proliferation. Masson's tumor typically presents as a slow-growing, indolent lesion commonly affecting the head, neck and arms with a female predominance. It comprises ~2% of all malignant and non-malignant vascular tumors of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. We are presenting the first case of Masson's tumor of the right medial canthal subcutaneous tissue, masquerading as dacryocystitis.Entities:
