The site of the lesion causing deafness in multiple sclerosis.

Abstract

A patient with multiple sclerosis who developed sequential hearing loss, first on the right, with recovery is discussed. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated lesions in the VIII nerve root entry zones which were thought to be responsible for the hearing loss.
