Abstract
Synovial chondromatosis of the hip joint is uncommon entity. Two cases are presented, and the spectrum of the disease is discussed. Partial synovectomy with loose body removal is recommended as the treatment of choice. Joint replacement is performed only in patients with severe secondary osteoarthritis, and used only in selected cases.Entities:
