Anomalous origin of the occipital artery from the cervical internal carotid artery.

Abstract

A case is reported of the abnormal origin of the occipital artery from the right internal carotid artery in a patient admitted for carotid endarterectomy. The abnormality was demonstrated angiographically and at operation.
