Comparison of 2 different tapering techniques in megaureters.

An experimental model of primary obstructive megaureter was developed in the growing minipig. This model was used to compare 2 different techniques of megaureter reduction and reimplantation. Radiographic and microangiographic studies of the excisional ureteroplasty and ureteral folding techniques were done. The folding technique was judged to be superior owing to better maintenance of blood supply.
