Abstract
Scientific literature demonstrates relationships to exist between oral health and general health in a number of areas. A healthy oral cavity contributes to general wellbeing, but poor oral health can increase the risk of physical disorders, such as aspiration pneumonia, cardiovascular disorders, diabetes mellitus, and other disorders. Given the risks of these systemic diseases for frail older people, adequate and high-quality oral care is of great importance for this patient group.Entities:
