On the mechanism of magnetic field effects in bacterial photosynthesis.

R Haberkorn, M E Michel-Beyerle.

Abstract

The recently discovered magnetic field effects in bacterial photosynthesis are discussed by solving a simple model exactly. Analytic expressions are given that permit one to study the influence of the rates of the primary electron transfer reactions and the exchange interaction on the yield of excited triplet states.
