Abstract
OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this article is to review the nascent field of radiomics in cardiac MRI. CONCLUSION. Cardiac MRI produces a large number of images in a fairly inefficient manner with sometimes limited clinical application. In the era of precision medicine, there is increasing need for imaging to account for a broader array of diseases in an efficient and objective manner. Radiomics, the extraction and analysis of quantitative imaging features from medical imaging, may offer potential solutions to this need. Keywords: MRI; cardiac; radiomics; texture analysis
