The cervicofacial flap.

D M Mercer1.

Abstract

The cervicofacial flap was first described in 1969 as a means of obtaining skin cover following orbital exenteration. It has been used since for a wide variety of reconstructive purposes in the orbital, lower lid and upper cheek areas. The vascular supply, narrow pedicle and excellent final cosmetic result from the use of this flap are demonstrated.
