Minitracheotomy in children. The management of sputum retention in older children by minitracheotomy.

Abstract

The successful management of sputum retention by minitracheotomy in two 12-year-old patients is reported. Some advantages and potential problems are discussed. This is the first time that minitracheotomy has been reported in this age group.
