Abstract

The aim of this article is to draw attention to an uncommon lesion associated with classical Spanish ballet dancing - an activity with both artistic and competitive sporting influences. The lesion is characterised by a clicking great toe and pain in the region posterior to the medial malleolus, together with inability to point the toes. An analysis is made of the literature and of the treatment used in a bilateral case.
