Extensor digitorum brevis manus muscle. A clinical reminder.

J A Shaw1, E K Manders.

Abstract

The extensor digitorum brevis manus is an aberrant finger extensor occurring on the dorsum of the hand. This anomalous muscle is easily mistaken for other dorsal hand pathology. An awareness of its existence is the basis for clinical diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
