Pleomorphic Adenoma of Upper Lip: A Rare Case Presentation.

Jas Simran Singh Bhatia1.

Abstract

Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common neoplasm of the salivary glands and is most commonly located in the parotid followed by the submandibular glands. The most common intraoral site includes hard and soft palate. This case report describes a rare and unusual lesion found in a 21 years old female, which was diagnosed as pleomorphic adenoma of the minor salivary glands in the upper lip. The tumor was a circumscribed and firm mass, about 3 cm in diameter, almost protruding below the nose. Complete excision was performed by intraoral route and the histo-pathologic analysis showed pleomorphic adenoma. The tumor did not recur. © Association of Otolaryngologists of India 2018.
