Superior vena cava syndrome secondary to histiocytosis-X in a child: case report.

Abstract

A case of histiocytosis-X with multifocal bone involvement and mediastinal soft tissue infiltration leading to superior vena cava obstruction, is presented. The incidence and the causes of superior vena cava syndrome in the pediatric group are discussed.
