A re-appraisal of antibiotic susceptibility tests in the management of bacterial prostatitis.

G Kazanci1, S Yildiz, R Büjükalpelli.

Abstract

In a material of fifty cases of chronic prostatitis the effectiveness of antibiotic susceptibility tests has been evaluated in the management of bacterial prostatitis. Limitations of the therapy are discussed, and factors effecting drug diffusion across the prostatic membrane are reviewed.
