Abstract
Cryptococcosis is a typical opportunistic fungal infection in immunocompromised patients especially those with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). We report a case of primary intestinal criptococosis in a 57 year old women HIV negative with one year of abdominal pain and hematochezia. Colonoscopy reveals nodular and friable mucosa from rectum to distal descending colon. We report the first case of gastrointestinal criptococosis in Peru in an immunocompetent patient.Entities:
