Cannulation strategies, circulation management and neuroprotection for type A intramural hematoma: tips and tricks.

Abstract

The circulation management strategies and operative techniques that are essential for the successful surgical repair of acute type A intramural hematoma (ATAIMH) are similar to those utilized for acute type A aortic dissection. This article reviews the neuroprotection strategies and arterial cannulation sites used in the treatment of patients with ATAIMH. 2019 Annals of Cardiothoracic Surgery. All rights reserved.
