Abstract
A 60-year-old woman suffering from severe chronic post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) was treated with simple autologous fat grafting to the affected area of skin. Post-operatively, she reported a great improvement in her symptoms. The effect was stable throughout the 3-month follow-up period. This case report presents a first-in-the-world case of using fat grafting to treat chronic post-herpetic neuralgia and discusses the future potential of this as a primary treatment of this syndrome. This report presents partial data of a pilot study registered at clinicaltrials.org (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03584061). © The British Pain Society 2018.Entities:
