Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the cleansing effect of ultrasonic devices with that of hand instrumentation. When ultrasonic instrumentation is used in a curved canal, instruments should be precurved to some degree. The ultrasonic method is superior to the manual method in removal of debris from the root canal.
