Abstract
OBJECTIVES: Frailty is a major clinical geriatric syndrome associated with serious adverse events including functional disability, falls, hospitalisation, increased morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to study associations between a frailty phenotype and frailty characteristics well known from the literature.Entities:

Figure 1Venn diagram displaying extent of overlap of frailty with multimorbidity (≥2 chronic diseases) in the Lolland-Falster Health Study. Total represented by 2674 individuals with frailty and/or multimorbidity. Percentages are percentages of individuals with frailty (n=476). Frailty is based on the criteria characterising the frailty phenotype described by Fried et al. 2
