Abstract
Vaccination During Pregnancy Abstract. Vaccinations administered to women during pregnancy can provide protection against serious infectious diseases for the mother, for the newborn, or both. Two vaccines are routinely recommended during pregnancy: Influenza and Pertussis. While the influenza vaccine protects mainly the pregnant mother, who is at an increased risk for severe affection, the pertussis vaccine is an effective protection to infants who are at particularly high risk of pertussis complications and mortality in the first three months of life.Entities:
