Abstract
Pervasive refusal syndrome is a rare clinical disorder affecting children and teenagers. It is characterised by social withdrawal and opposition which significantly affects how patients function and their treatment. The twenty or so cases reported in literature help to specify the main diagnostic and therapeutic elements. Early recognition of pervasive refusal syndrome is essential in order to treat these young patients as effectively as possible.Entities:
