Abstract
Reducing the systolic anterior motion is a key way of resolving left ventricular outflow tract obstruction in surgery for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. We developed a new technique using a floating stitch on the anterior mitral leaflet (AML). It is applied just to the middle of the tip of the AML and fixed to the annuloplasty ring at the middle of the posterior annulus. The AML is prevented from touching the interventricular septum and systolic anterior motion can theoretically be solved.Entities:
