Xiaoguang Cheng1, James F Griffith2, Wing P Chan3.

Abstract

Osteoporosis will become even more prevalent as the world population ages. Radiologists are well placed to recognize this disease that often first manifests on routine imaging studies. Most radiologists encounter patients with osteoporosis during their normal daily reporting. Osteoporosis is prone to potential pitfalls on imaging, and the more common of these are outlined in this review. Thieme Medical Publishers 333 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001, USA.
