Abstract
This column reviews and updates "common factors" in psychotherapy, as originally described by Saul Rosenzweig in 1936. The author, a psychiatrist who has used multiple modalities of psychotherapeutic treatment over 4 decades, shares personal reflections concerning these "common factors" and introduces a model of integrated psychotherapies named for his grandfather's shaving brush.Mesh:
