Abstract
A 10-year-old girl with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome who received intravenous lorazepam for atypical absence status seizures is reported. Tonic seizures occurred immediately and appeared to represent a paradoxical seizure exacerbation. We also review other patients with paradoxical seizure exacerbation by benzodiazepines.Entities:
