Abstract
Ultrasound imaging has several advantages that include the absence of radiation, portability, excellent resolution of neuromuscular structures, and the ability to perform dynamic examinations. Traumatic muscle injury can be comprehensively evaluated using static, dynamic, and Doppler ultrasound imaging. In the present review, we briefly discuss mechanisms of traumatic muscle injury, present ultrasound images of normal muscles, focus on ultrasound assessment of injured muscles, and concisely discuss treatment and rehabilitation options for muscle injuries.Entities:
