Abstract
The presence of a carotid-cavernous sinus fistula after maxillofacial trauma or orthognathic surgery is uncommon. 2 patients are described who developed a carotid-cavernous sinus fistula. Early diagnosis is important, since delay in treatment may cause irreversible neurological and/or ophthalmological damage. The etiology of the carotid-cavernous sinus fistulas is discussed, in the cases described.Entities:
