Bilateral vermilion flap. A modification of Goldstein's technique.

Y Sawada1, M Ara, K Nomura.

Abstract

A bilateral tissue expanding flap is described for the reconstruction of the mid-vermilion border. With this technique, a defect of about one-half of the vermilion border can be reconstructed with little discomfort to the patient. Because of the high degree of tissue extensibility, this procedure appears to be a versatile one especially in elderly people.
