Abstract
PURPOSE: Peyronie disease (PD) occurs as a result of recurrent microvascular injuries or trauma of the tunica albuginea, although its precise etiology is unknown. Mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW), and plateletcrit (PCT), which are parameters indicative of platelet activity, are considered to be functional markers of platelets involved in the pathophysiology of related inflammatory and vascular diseases.
