Abstract
1. Arachidonic acid metabolism by respiratory epithelial cells either freshly isolated or maintained in culture is discussed. 2. A comparison is made between rat, rabbit, canine and human cells and illustrates the considerable variation in the metabolism between various species. 3. The relationship between arachidonic acid metabolism and ion movement in these cells is reviewed.Entities:
