Abstract
In radiotherapy treatments with MV beams, the use of tissue compensators affects the dose to the skin. Methods of calculating the relative skin dose (RSD) are described and a formula is derived to predict the contribution of a tissue compensator to the RSD. Measurements of RSD for various field sizes and distances from the compensator are presented.Entities:
