Abstract
BACKGROUND: Truck drivers in sub-Saharan Africa are at high risk for both mental health disorders and sexually transmitted infections. We sought to determine the prevalence of depression among a sample of long-distance truck drivers seeking services at roadside wellness clinics in Kenya and explore the relationship between depression and sexual risk behavior.Entities:

Some percentages may not add up to 100% due to rounding.
IQR, interquartile range; SD, standard deviation; USD, US dollars.
Kruskall–Wallis test.
Pearson’s Chi-square test.
Fisher’s exact test.
All participants who reported drug use also reported alcohol use. Drug use was not included in the regression models because of small numbers of participants in categories.
Poisson regression models examining the association of depression and other variables with number of condomless sex partners.
