Abstract
RATIONALE: Oral ingestion of glyphosate can induce gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain, and hematochezia. Timely and effective treatment of pyloric stenosis caused by glyphosate poisoning is important. PATIENT CONCERNS: The patient had a poor appetite, accompanied by nausea and vomiting of a small amount of dark brown material that resembled blood clots several times a day. Gastroscopy revealed gastric ulcer, a large pyloric antrum ulcer, and a deformed stomach cavity. DIAGNOSIS: Pyloric stenosis due to glyphosate poisoning in a 36-year-old man.Entities:

Figure 1Gastroscopy before distal gastrectomy. We observed gastric ulcer, a large pyloric antrum ulcer, and a deformed stomach cavity, and the gastroscope was unable to pass the stomach.
Figure 2Gastroscopy after distal gastrectomy. We observed severe edema at the anastomosis site. A jejunal feeding tube was placed to provide both enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
