Abstract
Expanded community care for the frail elderly has been advocated based on its potential for financial cost saving. However, the evaluation found that average costs increased: the cost of expanding publicly financed case management and formal community services beyond what already was provided was not offset by reductions in the costs for nursing home care.Mesh:
